Read the plant

Start with what you can actually see: the leaf, the soil, the light in the room. The guides show you where to look and in what order, so a yellow leaf stops being a mystery.

Giorgio De Luca, garden designer and founder of The Quiet Garden

Who is behind this

I’m Giorgio, a garden designer from Tuscany, Italy, and the person behind The Quiet Garden.

I’ve spent years learning plants the hands-on way, testing soils, killing a few cuttings of my own, and writing down what actually works.

Every page of every guide here was written and designed by me, a real person you can reply to, not generated by an app or an algorithm.

My promise is simple: no jargon, no guilt, no panic. Just calm, honest plant care.
